Season 5 Power Rankings - Regular Season #5

Chuckles McGee - Cobbfather Post Gazette

It's time for another edition of the Power Rankings! And there is a new #1 for the second straight rankings period, and this time it's the Tampa Bay Tankers! The Tankers went an astounding 15-1 in the last 16 games to jump from #4 to #1. Sacramento, Rochester and Jackson all drop one spot and fill the 2-4 positions, while Austin holds steady at #5.

No one did as well as the Tankers, but some other teams have done well since the last rankings including #6 Vancouver (12-3), #9 Memphis (11-4), #11 Boston (11-4), #5 Austin (11-5) and #7 Atlanta (10-5). Also an honorable mention to Syracuse going 8-7 this period, after being 0-15 the prior rankings period!

On the flip side, Wichita had a bad run going 2-13, while San Juan and Los Angeles only managed 3 wins each.

Here's this edition's teams on the rise and teams on the decline section.

Teams on the rise: Tampa Bay, Vancouver, Memphis, Boston, Syracuse, Oakland

Teams on the decline: Wichita, San Juan, Los Angeles, New York (AL), Charleston
