Atlanta Expos" down on the farm"

The Atlanta Expos are a franchise that has some minor league issues to contendt to. I t will be hard to be fair to players, when they are playing at 0%. But we will do the best we can with the ones who are performing .

1.Damian Dong.......Damian has shown great power so far in AAA. He has 17 homers in 47 games. Actually he has double numbers 17 homer 45 rbi's.....17 walk, 45 strikeouts. He would be a good DH in the ML.

2.Eugene Blanton......Eugene should be another decent ML player. He has good power, good batting eye, but his health is left to be desired. DH/PH role would fit him perfectly.

3. Fausto Valenzuela........Fausto " don't call me Fernando " Valenzuela has really good numbers thus far in the High A level this season. He is hitting .371 with 17 doubles, 5 triples, 7 homers, and 37 RBI'S. He also has 22 walks, and only 20 strikeouts in 175 at bats. A .448 OBP and a very very good OPS of 1.094.

4. Todd Jones ...... Todd is a player who will never even sniff the big league turf. He has put up decent numbers, and should remain a life time minor league player. He has 20 doubles, 9 homers, 47 RBI'S in 47 games. He is hitting .351 with 20 walks, and only 20 strikeouts in about 160 at bats.

5. Giomar Bonilla......... Giomar is really tearing up the High A level. He is 7-0 with a 2.42 ERA . In 52 innings, he has given up 52 hits, 4 homers, 15 walks and 38 strikeouts.

6.Minnie Morton...... Minnie has 6-4 record with a 3.19 ERA in High A ball this season. He has shown some poise, and good control. In 62 innings, he has given up 61 hits, 11 walks and 45 strikouts.

I am sure Atlanta will have more players at the next update. When a system is depleated it is hard to judge players by the numbers of playing fatigued all the time.
