Ottawa Renegades " down on the farm"

Ottawa is next up on the "down on the farm" report. Ottawa is performing well in the minors, and it seems that is where their talent is. That being said, they should continue to develpo and solidify the major league roster.

1. Otis Murray..... Otis is in AA, and he seems to be starting to develop down there. He has 18 doubles, 2 triples, 5 homers, while driving in 36. He has walked 16 times, struck out 19, while swiping 14 bases. He has a very good eye, thus the reason for his .436 OBP.

2.Kris Sherman..... Kris is also in AA as well. He has done a very good job down there. He has good power, decent splits, and a good batting eye. He 20 doubles, 15 homers, 63 RBI'S, while walking 26 times. He has fanned 43, in just over 230 at bats, which may become alarming. His OBP is .4o7 despite the strikeouts, and he has a very good average of .345.

3.Ross Gagne. Ross will never make the major leagues, but he sure will enjoy his time in the minors. He has low splits around, except for power. He has 16 doubles, 1 triple and 20 homers. He has also driven in 52 runs, walked 21, and fanned 54 times. The 54 strike outs in 220 at bats are high, which is a cause for his OBP to be a limited .421.

4.Francisco Zapata.... Francisco is in Low A, and he is doing very well. He has decent power, good contact, decent splits, and a good batting eye to go along with the rest. He has 15 doubles, 4 triples, 9 homers, and 43 runs batted in. He also has walked 24 times, while fanning 37 times. His average is .309, and his OBP is .390.

5.Kelvin Barfield.... Kelvin "don't call me Jesse" Barfield is currently on the DL. He was down in Low A doing very well, before developing a sore shoulder. In 59 innings, he gave up 50 hits,4 homers, 15 walks, while punching out 59. He is only 25, but has had experience in the higher levels already, including the majors.

6.Edwin Holder... Edwin is a pitcher with good control, and 3 pitches to keep hitter off balance. His splits are not something to fall over, but like other pitcher, he proves that ratings mean nothing. He is sporting a very fine 0.44 ERA in High A this season. In 20 innings, he has given up 18 hits, 3 walks, 18 strike outs, while owning a 0-1 record with 2 saves.

In AA he has pitches 61 innings, he has given up 59 hits, 8 homers, 15 walks, while fanning 51. He has a 3-3 record with a 2.97 ERA. Harry has good stamina, good control, and 5 pitches to try and fool pitchers with.

9.Leo Abbey..... Leo has been recently promote to the big league level. He has 5 pitches, good control, good stamina and decent splits. He should be a nice fit in the major leagues. In AAA he pitched 52 innings, gave up 42 hits, 4 homers, while walking 11 and fanning 42.

10. Davey Fernandez..... Davey has been promoted to the big leagues, after dominating AAA this season. He was 6-2 with a 1.76 ERA before getting the call. In 66 innings, he gave up only 43 hits, 4 homers, 21 walks , while striking out 50. So far in the Major League he is 2-0 with 1 complete game, and a sparkling 0.81 ERA.
