Why he should win:
Saves - 21 (6)
Save % - 91.3% (2)
BAA - .239 (1)
WHIP - 1.16 (1)
ERA - 2.67 (1)

The lowdown: Bonds has the peripherals. He has been the best all-around closer in the NL this season. In the spirit of the award, however, you would generally want a guy with more saves. Kerr has the second most saves and second-best ERA among qualified closers. It really comes down to how you view the award, but my vote is for Wilson Bonds.
