Winner Winner....Chicken Dinner

What a playoff season we had this year! 3 of the final 4 teams were Wildcard teams with both #6 seeds making the final series of the season. Congrats to Buffalo, who after 8 straight division titles, took 3rd place in the division but finally won the ultimate prize! And the 3rd for the franchise.

Congrats again and let's get ready for The Golden Season (Season 50).

Major League

Owner of the Year

Attempting to continue this new tradition, let's take a look at possibilities for Owner of the Year. The top two owners we felt deserved a deeper look were: rawdk27 & mike22182, but the prize ultimately went to rawdk27 for leading an underrated ragamuffin group to a division title. The computers rated them at the bottom of the rankings time after time, but yet they continued to press on; ignored Skynet and it's opinion of them. Will be interesting to see where they fall in the final rankings and to start next season.

Trivia

With 90 stolen bases from the AL league leader, Matty Moss; the Atlanta team stole 318 bases on the season. Second best was New York Empire with only 191. Atlanta was caught 104 times, while NY was caught 80. Atlanta was caught more times than 12 teams had stolen bases. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Santa Fe Surf Riders are riding no free waves this past season, only stealing 19 bases of the 37 they attempted.

Great minor league seasons by both Wichita and New Orleans with both teams playing in three of the five minor league world series. NO with the advantage (winning 2 of their 3) and the head to head victory in Rookie ball. Should be exciting to see if any of these players make the ML roster in the not to distant future.
