S55 Updated Rankings

Activity has been lacking on the blog, but Skynet is always busy running the rankings. Here we are at the halfway point, let's jump right to it:


In the AL - As expected, the Atlanta Expos have fully pulled away from their division, even after going 3-7 over the last 10. Same goes for the Houston Space Cowboys, who have an even larger lead over their division, at 18 games. The AL North and West are still up in there. With the two wildcard teams being the only other AL teams above .500 (Minnesota North Stars and Boston Baseball Team). 

In the NL - With Chicago off to a hot start the first half of the season and Hartford a slightly slower start' has given the Gunslingers a 12 game lead on the division. We expected it to be much closer, but we'll see how the second half plays out. With no surprise Pittsburgh and New Orleans have pulled away. The NL West matches its AL countertop and is a toss up with half the game to paly. 

If we look at how each team has expected to win based off recent play, here is what we'd see. Champs and Wildcard are listed based on expected win percentages. Current playoff teams are highlighted in bold. Outside of the AL West, the expected top teams are currently in line for the playoffs.
