Season 27 All-Star Coverage

The Season 27 All-Star festivities are upon us, so let's see who made this season's All-Star teams!

In the American League, Thomas Hutchinson leads all AL All-Stars in appearances, making his 6th All-Star team.  There were 10 first time All-Stars on the AL Squad.  14 different teams are represented on the AL All-Star team with Atlanta (6) and Texas (5) having the most players.

In the National League, Norman LaPorta is still getting it done at age 38, making his 11th All-Star team! Another great feat for LaPorta as he also attempts to win a record tying 6th Cy Young Award this season. The NL had 12 first time All-Stars and representatives from 13 different teams. Philadelphia had the most All-Stars with 7, followed by Las Vegas with 4.

Season 27 Power Rankings #2

We're half way through Season 27, which means it's time for another edition of the power rankings!  Let's get right into it!   Atlanta maintains a firm grip on the top spot, continuing to lead the world in both pitching and offense.  Philadelphia catapults into the #2 spot, tying for the best record since the last rankings with #3 St. Louis, who jumps up all the way from #13!  New York Cosmos and Texas fall a little bit, but remain in the top 5.  Here are the 5 biggest climbers and 5 biggest falls since the last rankings!

Season 27 Power Rankings #1

We're out of the gate in Season 27, and about a quarter of the way through, which means it's time for the first power rankings of the season!   Defending champion Atlanta maintains a firm grip on the top spot, with a very dominant start, leading the league in both pitching and offense.  Texas remains a solid #2.  The AL New York franchise bolts into the top 5 with a strong start at #3, while Los Angeles earns the top ranking amongst NL teams at #4.  Philadelphia rounds out the top 5.  Honorable mention goes to Cheyenne, whom new owner all-time Cobbfather great yanks21 has them looking their best in a long time, as they are up 20 spots from dead last to #12!
